The Movement Disorders Center recruits quality neurologists who have a passion for serving the movement disorders community. Our fellows serve our local movement disorders community while they are in training through community outreach and research. They continue to serve the movement disorders community. Our former fellows have gone into academic practices, private practices in underserved areas, and private practices with clinical trial programs.

In 2010, MDC created a formal fellowship program and curriculum. In 2017, we added a second year to our training program. To date, we’ve trained 20 movement disorders specialists. Trainees have gone into academic careers, private practice with active clinical trials, and into private practice in underserved communities.
States that are underserved in movement disorders are shown on the map to the left. The darker states have a demand for movement providers far greater than available. The pushpins represent where our previous fellows are practicing.
