First-Year Fellows

Bridget Ollesch, MD (she/her/hers) | 2023-2025

Medical School: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
Residency: University of Utah

I was born in central Illinois. I received my undergraduate degree in religious studies at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. I then completed my medical school at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. I left the midwest to do my residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I am excited to continue my training in  Movement Disorders at the University of Colorado. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and cycling with my husband and my dog.

Dr. Ondrea Timmermann

Ondrea Timmermann, DO (she/her/hers) | 2023-2025

Medical School: West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency: Carle Foundation Hospital

Dr. Timmermann was born and grew up in West Virginia, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Alderson Broaddus University and her medical degree from WVSOM. She then moved to Illinois to complete her residency where she realized her interest in movement disorders. To meet her aspiration of becoming a movement disorders expert, she finds her way to Colorado to further her education and training. 

In her free time, she enjoys baking, gardening, birding, and hiking.

Second-Year Fellows

Heffernan 2

Brooke Heffernan, MD (she/her/hers) | 2022-2024

Medical School: University of Kansas Medical School
Residency: University of Colorado Medical Center

Dr. Heffernan grew up in Kansas City and received her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Bethel College in central Kansas. There she met her husband, BJ when they were both on the soccer teams. She went to medical school at the University of Kansas and completed her residency training at the University of Colorado, serving as chief resident in her fourth year. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, trying new restaurants, and hiking with her chocolate lab, Olive.

Matthew Woodward, MD (he/him/his) | 2020-2022

Medical School: Drexel University College of Medicine
Residency:  University of Maryland Medical Center

Dr. Woodward was raised in Pennsylvania, attending Penn State for college and then Drexel for medical school. He then did his neurology residency in Baltimore. He now finds his way to Colorado to continue his neurology training with a fellowship in movement disorders. In his free time, Dr. Woodward likes to do pub trivia, rock climb, box, and try new restaurants.
